everyone asks what's "oomf"? the answer is simple. "one of my followers" they say.

when i first started posting on X, i wanted a lot of this thing called "followers". it just feels good you have others that agree with you. that's probably how "prophet" felt like.

the game is fun. you interact with people you like, they interact with you. everyone's happy. you get rewarded by "likes" and "followers" whenever you post something called "banger". your notification goes "20+". you get "dms". or getting tagged under a long thread, and it makes you happy cause the oomf remembered you.

there are times that the game doesn't go well too. "moots" unfollowing you. you are not sure about something you posted so you click on the red delete button...

the game is fun but your posts lose values.

so i changed the way i post. hard at first but after a while i wasn't worried about the "likes" anymore. they are still a lot fun, specially from cool people you like, but the few likes on your real thoughts was better than a bait post with hundreds of likes.

back to the "oomf". oomf is not just a follower. oomf is someone that makes you happy when they like your post. oomf is someone you want to interact with, and they want to interact with you. they decided to stay with you, no matter of your "real posts" or "bait posts". you get happy when their post hits "banger" level, like a proud father. you have seen what they posted when they had less than 50 followers and now some of them have more than 1k.

and lastly to all of my oomf
